“Our EOD Undefeated Ride recognizes both the sacrifices of our EOD heroes, and the foundation that is dedicated to providing much needed financial support to the warriors and their families.”
- Kevin Childre, US Navy EOD & founder of the EOD Undefeated Ride
We Ride In Honor of Kevin Childre
US Navy EOD Cmdr. Kevin Childre and friends started the EOD Undefeated Bike Ride in 2009, the year that was the most devastating to the EOD community in injuries and lives lost. Sensing this vital need, Kevin founded the EOD Undefeated Bike Ride that would directly benefit the EOD Warrior Foundation – a charitable organization dedicated to the continued care of our wounded EOD technicians and their families. Having raised nearly one million dollars in its first four years, the Undefeated Ride remains the largest and most successful fundraising effort for our nation’s wounded EOD warriors across all branches of service.
In May 2015, Kevin lost his life following a crash on a six-day bike ride from San Francisco to San Diego while promoting awareness of the EOD Warrior Foundation.
At the time of his passing, Commander Childre was the Navy’s longest serving active duty EOD Technician. He was a beloved, respected, and unparalleled presence in the EOD community, the cycling community, and his community at large.
The 2015 EOD Undefeated Ride continues in his honor.
